Academic Decathlon

The United States Academic Decathlon is a ten-event scholastic competition for teams of high school students.

Academic Decathlon (aka “AcaDec”) is THE place for folks who like to learn outside of their classes and who have a competitive nature, or at least like the feeling of an intellectual challenge. Mather’s AcaDec team has consistently participated at the state level for most of the last decade; our decathletes go on to be doctors, lawyers, nurses, politicians, mathematicians, non profit leaders, landscape architects, artists, and more. If this interests you at all, join us. Grades do not matter (in fact, we LOVE folks who don’t have the best GPAs but consider themselves to be intellectually curious or more simply, just like learning things).

This year’s theme is Technology and Humanity.

Scrimmage season kicks off soon; come join us!

See Ms. O’Shea (room 502) for more information.
