This is a true story about Richard and Sasha. They do not know each other but they ride the same bus every day after school for 8 minutes. In that short amount of time Richard’s choice to set Sasha skirt on fire will not only change their lives but will impact their families, friends, and communities. It was an event that will made national headlines and sparked debate about whether or not a teenager should be charged as an adult or as a juvenile.
 
Read this book if you are interested in social issues about gender, race, class or to gain a better understanding of how our legal system works. Both sides of the issues are presented equally, so you can make your own decisions. This is an easy and fast read because it is written as a narrative (story). The chapters are short ranging from one to three pages.
