About me...

I am happy to be teaching Exploring Computer Science at Mather. I believe that ALL students can learn computer science and that access to an equitable computer science education is a social justice issue.

I am a former President (and founding member) of the Chicago Chapter of the Computer Science Teachers Association, and a member of the leadership team for the National Science Foundation funded research partnership, the Chicago Alliance for Equity in Computer Science (CAFÉCS). I am also a national Exploring Computer Science PD facilitator, an advisor for CS for Oregon, and a National Center for Women & Information Technology Educator Award winner.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family (I have 2 sons at Mather HS), collecting vinyl records, cooking, and playing drums for the indie band The Purcells.
