About me

Welcome to Mather High School! I have the privilege of teaching the CTE Law and Public Safety Academy (LPSA) curriculum which is a 4 year Pre-Law honors program.  I am Chicagoan, a US Navy Corpsman veteran, an Illinois licensed attorney and educator, the Cheer coach and mom to two teens and one puppy.  I have been practicing law (Legal Aid and General Practice) since 2006 and teaching in CPS (English and Law) since 2009. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging with my family, being out in nature, volunteering, reading, and cooking.

I step into my classroom each day prepared to connect to my students and help them connect to the world around them through the study of law and its application. I support my students and encourage their creativity, as well as help build their critical thinking, reading and writing skills. In addition, I challenge them to expand their sympathetic imagination to better understand our diverse community and work collaboratively.  I continue to welcome the opportunity to guide these young adults through a part of their educational journey and, if they would like, well beyond. I look forward to working with you and your family. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Let's go Mather Rangers!!!
