JUNIOR LEADERS (H)
Junior Leaders is a yearlong course (1 credit) offered to 11th grade
students and is honors level. This is an elective class offered through the
PE department. Students interested in this class MUST be recommended
by their 10th grade PE teacher and Mr. Frcka.
Throughout this course students will develop strong leadership skills by
improving their ability to communicate with others, problem solve and
work well as part of a team. Also, in order to improve leadership skills,
students will be encouraged to leave their comfort zones and take risks.
We believe that personal growth will occur as a result of taking
calculated risks.
Students will also learn how to facilitate a PE class including daily warm
ups, fitness, team sports and team building. Students will apply this
knowledge and these skills to their Senior Leaders class.

SENIOR LEADERS (H)

serve as an assistant to the cooperating PE teacher, lead the daily
warm up activity, help organize and distribute equipment, help model
and teach skills associated with team sports, officiate games, lead
